My team and I were assigned to develop a Virtual-Reality (VR) version of the Harfish game called Harfish VR. Thanks to my team's outstanding performance, we received funding from the company and were invited to work at one of our company's offices in Jakarta. It was an opportunity for us to learn and develop the game using Oculus Quest 2.

Unfortunately, things didn't go as planned, and the game had to be discontinued because the project took a different direction after initially being developed for the fisheries industry as a VR game.

From this project, I learned about the dynamic work culture in the company's office, the technical aspects of developing a game for the Oculus Quest 2 device, and the importance of making critical decisions as a team.

What have I worked on?

Testing the gameplay of Harfish VR with Oculus Quest 2 device

  • Utilized Auto Hand VR SDK and Unity XR SDK to implement the VR mechanic for Oculus Quest 2 device

  • Developed the game flow and mechanics based on the service blueprint design
